GENERAL INFORMATION
The presentation of the SALT Year-End Tax Accounting Class will be offered as follows:
November 17, 2022
3:00 – 5:00 pm ET
Via the Zoom Platform
Curriculum: COST is pleased to offer a virtual state income tax accounting technical session just in time for preparation of the year-end multistate tax accounting provision and related income tax footnote, with a particular focus on multistate tax issues, coordination, and planning activities at year-end close. The session will cover the basic components of the multistate tax provision calculation including valuation allowances, ASC 740-10 (formerly FIN 48) and any related calculations due to new legislation and audit controversies. The session will also include best practice suggestions and recommend tools and resources for use in the year-end close documentation and footnote process. The session is designed to cover the basics for first year preparers, but advanced enough to provide a planning and coordination roadmap for more seasoned preparers. (This presentation is derived from the COST Basics School).
