COST’s 2020 State and Local Tax Webinar for Technology Companies will be held over a 3-day period from Tuesday, August 11th through  Thursday, August 13th.  The sessions will be held:

Tuesday, August 11
3:00 – 5:15 p.m. EDT

Wednesday, August 12
11:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. EDT (Tech Start-Up Companies sessions)
3:00 – 5:15 p.m. EDT

Thursday, August 13
3:00 – 5:15 p.m. EDT

This webinar is open to industry tax professionals from both COST Member and Non-COST Member Companies. Practitioners are not eligible to attend the webinar (except for those sponsoring or speaking). CPE will be available to each registered individual.

This webinar is for someone with all levels of state and local tax experience. No advanced preparation is needed. The goal of this webinar is to cover the key state and local tax issues that technology companies (both start-up and established) are facing.

The webinar will be presented on the Zoom platform. If your corporate firewall restricts the use of Zoom, you may join by personal device or audio. Additionally, this webinar will be conducted live with no recording made available afterwards.

  • COST Industry Member Company  $50
  • Non-COST Industry Member Company  $100

This webinar will be conducted live with no recording made available after the webinar, However, by registering for COST’s Webinar, attendees hereby agree to allow COST to record the Webinar and use the recording in news media, website, publications, articles, marketing pieces and etc.

Continuing Education

COST will assist in applying for Continuing Education credit for the 2020 State and Local Tax Webinar for the Tech Industry. 

COST is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.

There are no prerequisites for this webinar and the program level is intermediate. Please note that distance learning courses should be attended in an educational setting that is free from distractions.
