Charles W. Drury, Jr. is Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for the Council On State Taxation (COST). Prior to joining COST, Mr. Drury was the Manager of Domestic Income Tax Affairs for E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company where he was responsible for compliance, audit, and planning re domestic income and franchise tax related issues for DuPont. Before joining DuPont, Mr. Drury was a member of the White House Communications Agency working at the White House in Washington, DC, providing communication services to the President and Vice President of the United States. Mr. Drury is a past Chair, officer and director of COST. He is the recipient of the COST 2012 Paul Frankel Excellence in State Taxation Award. He has extensive involvement with state and local tax organizations including being Chair of the Delaware Chamber of Commerce Tax Committee, a member of Commerce Clearing House State Tax Advisory Board, and the TEI State and Local Tax Committee. He is a frequent lecturer before state and local tax groups. Mr. Drury received his B.S. degree in Accounting from New York University and his MBA from Widener University.
