The tenth annual New England State and Local Tax Forum is scheduled for Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Boston Newton Marriott. The New England SALT Forum is designed to provide an annual update on significant state and local tax developments from across the country with a particular focus on New England. The speaker panel is comprised of nationally recognized SALT practitioners who will be addressing key technical and policy issues. The Forum consists of 9 sessions, including the annual, staple sessions addressing the Top Issues in New England SALT, the National SALT Update led by Professor Rick Pomp and Marilyn Wethekam, and the New England Commissioners' "State of the States" panel discussion. This year’s six additional sessions will focus on: taxation of foreign source income by COST and the MTC; an update to pass-through entity taxation; hot topics in combined reporting; state tax considerations for remote workforces; and a special session dedicated to state reactions to federal COVID legislation. The Forum is designed for accountants, tax lawyers and in-house tax professionals with a fundamental understanding of state tax concepts. For more information regarding the 2021 conference agenda, visit the Forum’s website at www.nesaltforum.org or email us at taxforum@nesaltforum.org.
