The Bellagio is located 15 minutes from Harry Reid International Airport (LAS).

Rooms have been reserved under a COST room block of $254 single/double. There is an additional $37 resort fee per night which includes meeting room and in-room wifi.  Please make your hotel reservations early and directly with the Bellagio using this link.

NOTE: As you may be aware the Las Vegas Casino Workers have voted to strike the casinos in Las Vegas – including the Bellagio.  We have been monitoring the situation and have been in touch with Bellagio representatives who have advised us that while this vote has been taken, no strike is imminent and, if there is a strike, it will not occur until  sometime after the dates of our Annual Meeting.  Attendees should not be concerned about any impact from this situation.


Program:

Registration for the Annual Meeting can be done online at any time. The conference will start on 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 and end on Friday, October 20, 2023 at noon.

This three and a half day Annual Meeting offers sessions for every state tax and government affairs professional with tax responsibilities.  The Meeting has an extensive program covering all types of state and local taxes that business taxpayers are confronted with on a daily basis.  The ever-popular audit sessions and state chamber of commerce roundtables are included, and other conference sessions provide updates on timely SALT issues and insight regarding state tax trends and opportunities.  Targeted to all SALT types and levels of experience.

Cancellation Fees:

A $50 cancellation fee will be imposed for cancellations received on or before October 2, 2023; cancellations after October 2nd will not be refunded.

Hotel Reservations:

Rooms have been reserved at a rate of $254 single/double (plus taxes). Please make your hotel reservations directly with the Bellagio. Please note that there is an additional $37 per night resort fee.          

We encourage you to make your room reservations early as rooms in the COST block and hotel will sell out. Note: Tuesday, September 26, 2023 is the room reservation cut-off date. Rooms at the group rate may not be available if the COST room block sells out prior to September 26, 2023.

Continuing Education:

COST will assist you in applying for Continuing Education credit for the COST 2023 Annual Meeting/Audit Session. COST is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.

Weather:

October’s average high in Las Vegas is in the high-70’s and the average low is in the mid-50’s. Dress for the conference is business casual.  We encourage you to bring a sweater or jacket to the meeting as the meeting rooms tend to be on the cooler side.
