The Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center is sold out during the COST Schools. COST is still accepting commuter registrations. Below is a list of nearby hotels that are within walking distance of the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. You would register as a commuter student and then make your own hotel reservations. The commuter student registration fee does not include hotel accommodations.

The Center is located approximately 12 miles from Atlanta Hartsfield Airport.
Tuition Information:
Individual tuition includes accommodations (arrival Sunday, departure Thursday), all meals and daily snacks, materials, in-room internet, meeting room internet and evening entertainment. Reservations will be made for you.
For individuals who live in the Atlanta area and plan to commute each day to the school, the commuter fee includes materials, evening activities, meals and in meeting room internet.
Spouses/Guests may register with COST to attend all food functions for $400.
The school is open to tax professionals from industry (both COST member and non-COST member companies) and from practitioner firms.
NOTE: Cancellations for the Intermediate/Advanced State Income and Sales Tax Schools: There will be a 50% cancellation fee for cancellations received before 5:00 p.m. on April 15. Cancellations received thereafter will not be refunded. All cancellations/substitutions must be in writing.

Reservations / Room Information
COST will make your hotel reservations for you. All reservations will be made with each attendee arriving on Sunday, May 15th and departing on Thursday, May 19th. The School registration fee includes the four nights. If you plan to arrive early or depart later, please inform COST as to your plans. Each additional night is $149 plus taxes. Each individual will be responsible for payment upon check out of the hotel for the additional night(s).
The Georgia Tech Conference Center has 252 guestrooms. All rooms have high speed internet access, flat-screen TV’s, private bathroom, irons and ironing boards, in-room coffee and tea service, room service, bath robes, and complimentary newspapers. Advanced fitness center and indoor pool are available to guests. Non-smoking and wheelchair accessible rooms are available. Check in time is 3:00 p.m. and check out is 11:00 a.m.
COVID-19 Safety Protocols at COST Meetings – All in-person attendees at COST meetings will be required to comply with current state, local, and meeting venue COVID-19 safety protocols as well as submit a health survey upon arrival at the meeting. COST will provide COVID-19 mitigation protocols in advance of the meeting, which may require unvaccinated attendees to wear a facemask while not eating, drinking, or social distancing, and/or a recommendation to wear a facemask for vaccinated attendees unless eating, drinking, or social distancing. Thank you for your understanding as we deal with the ever-changing COVID world.
COVID-19 Refund/Credit Policy for COST Meetings – COST will refund 100% of registration fees for registered attendees unable to attend a COST meeting in 2022 due to company COVID-19 travel restrictions in place at the time of the meeting. In addition, COST will issue an appropriate refund or credit for attendees unable to attend all or part of a COST meeting due to illness. COST will also allow substitute attendees if a registered attendee is unable to attend due to COVID-19 related issues.
Transportation Options
Taxi cabs are available for approximately $42 one way.
Atlanta Airport Shuttle – approximately $22 one way and tickets can be purchased in baggage claim area without reservations.
Atlanta MARTA Rail System – the cost is approximately $3.00 one way. Catch the train at the airport and take the Northbound train to Midtown Station. From Midtown Station, catch the GA Tech Trolley which goes directly to the Hotel & Conference Center and is complimentary – inform the driver that you are going to the GA Tech Hotel & Conference Center.
Meals
All meals are included as part of your School registration fee, beginning with the dinner on Sunday, May 15th and concluding with lunch on Thursday, May 19th. (COST name badge must be worn.) Breakfast and lunch will be served in the conference dining room. Dinner will be served in a private room for COST School attendees. Snack service will be provided throughout the meeting area. If lighter fare is preferred for breakfast, a continental breakfast is also served in these snack areas in the morning. Room service is available until 11:00 p.m. However, it is not included in the registration fee and will be applied to individual bills upon check out.
Photo Permission
By registering for COST’s conferences, workshops or schools, attendees hereby agree to allow COST to use any photos taken of them during the conference/workshop/school in news media, website, publications, articles, marketing pieces and etc.
Continuing Education Credits
COST will assist in applying for Continuing Education credit for the 2022 Intermediate/Advanced State Income and Sales Tax Schools. COST is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org. For CLE credits and more CPE information, please email [email protected]. Each course is tentatively approved for 24 CPE (50 min.) hours. There are no prerequisites for this school and the program level is intermediate. COST will also assist in securing CLE credits with state bar associations.
